Your Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Astrological Sign
The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers ahead of the game's release, to players developing firm opinions on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive designs that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes the Ram much more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Remain on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Similar to a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its regular and Mega form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the creature and a Bull are still battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Several past official descriptions mention their fondness for tasty sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Observe this absolute royalty. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, offering an constant fountain of gossip to those who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's incredibly simple to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to foresee an opponent's future actions, which seems quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
Cancer is widely regarded as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate symbol known for often becoming absorbed in their feelings. Per the official info, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “huge amount of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to completely control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their good time.
The Lion – Mega Starmie
Well, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being too glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple sea star, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Leo brings to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them worry more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained sentient through pure resentment and swore revenge on its former owner. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can imagine.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to predict calamities ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who often always think they’re correct. Interestingly, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Aloof air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous memes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame category fits perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
